Good Grandchild, Your Ancestors Are Waiting for Your Disaster Relief Supplies

Great Yue Dynasty, Lin Family Village, ancestral hall.

The Lin clan chief prayed reverently as he offered incense. "Ancestors, Great Yue has suffered a drought unseen in a century. Crops have failed in many places, and even the river in our village, which has never run dry, is about to disappear. I, an unfilial descendant of the eighteenth generation of the Lin family, beg you to protect us and help us survive this year of disaster. If there's any hidden food, please tell us in a dream."

Behind him, fifteen-year-old Lin Changan burst out laughing. "Grandpa, our ancestors were so poor they couldn't afford a pot to piss in. What food could they have hidden for us? I think we might as well pray to my descendants."

The clan chief angrily tightened his grip on his pipe.

The boy clasped his hands together again, still talking nonsense. "My descendants, I'm your old ancestor, Lin Changan. Your ancestor is facing drought and disaster right now, and he's about to starve and die of thirst. If you've made something of yourselves, think of a way to send your old ancestor some offerings!"

The clan chief raised his pipe and rapped it against the boy's head. "You little rascal, what nonsense are you spouting?"

"Grandpa, don't be so quick to anger." The boy clutched his head and tried to dodge. Suddenly, the empty space in front of the ancestral altar filled with:

5 bags of Wuchang rice from Northeast China

5 cases of Bai Sui Shan mineral water

5 cases of fresh fruit and vegetables

Clan chief: !!!!

Lin Changan: Was that the ancestors answering our prayers? Or my descendants?
