A Bumper Harvest Every Day Scavenging [Wasteland]

[Latest notice from the Sun Base: A frigid winter is coming early. 50 days remain. Base residents, please hunt and gather supplies to prepare for a safe winter.]

Five years ago, after a disaster brought on by a radioactive meteor shower, Blue Star became a wasteland. All plants and animals, not just humans, evolved wildly and mutated. The seasons were reduced to a sweltering summer and a freezing winter.

To prepare for the winter, which lasted half the year, base residents poured out of their homes as soon as the notice arrived, heading beyond the base to gather, scavenge, and hunt.

Xiang Kui had just transmigrated and eagerly grabbed a basket, ready to go gathering and scavenging with her family.

Her whole family looked troubled and racked their brains for ways to stop her.

Her worried father: Sweetheart, you just recovered from your injury. Why not stay home?

Her fretful mother: That's right, listen to your dad and go back to your room to rest. I'll take care of the chores when I get back tonight.

Her shattered big brother: Be good, little sis. Just stay home, and I'll bring you some fruit later.

Her talkative second brother: Sis, did you forget that a mutant animal just split your butt into eight pieces?

Xiang Kui: ?????

Her second brother went on and on: Every time you go scavenging, you act like you're possessed. Either a mutant animal rams you, or the food detector can't tell if anything is edible. You even get in the way of our scavenging. We could've earned enough to get by, but when you come along, we end up losing supplies. Just stay home and stop tagging along.

Could she really be that unlucky????

Xiang Kui didn't believe in bad luck. She was determined to go and see for herself.

Before she transmigrated, people had nicknamed her Little Lucky Carp. She'd never gone out foraging without coming back with something.
