After My Fiancé's Older Brother Took Me by Force

In the third month of spring, a banquet was held at the residence. Xie Xuan sat in a pavilion in the hills, gazing into the distance. Lowering his eyes, he saw his younger brother holding hands with a young woman in the woods, chatting happily, their eyes full of affection.

The young man and woman were as bright and radiant as peach blossoms in early spring.

He remembered her.

No one knew that Xie Xuan, the legitimate son of the Xie family's head and now a man as lofty as the moon in the sky and snow on a mountain peak, had once been mired in the mud, only to be rescued by a frail young woman.

Not long after, his younger brother was caught up in a scandal with another woman, and the whole affair became common knowledge. Unable to bear the humiliation, she wanted to break off her engagement, but was obstructed at every turn. In the end, she came to him for help, invoking the debt of having saved his life.

Since she had come to claim that debt, Xie Xuan agreed to help her.

Shen Lingli had lived with her grandmother in their ancestral hometown since childhood. She returned to the capital because of her betrothal and had to make her way under the thumb of her stepmother. She was extremely cautious, and would never have asked Xie Xuan for help on the strength of having saved his life unless she had no other choice.

Her engagement was successfully called off, and she finally breathed a sigh of relief. She began making plans for her future and arranged to meet the man she loved at a temple. But when she arrived, it was Xie Xuan who was waiting for her.

In the deep night, the man's low, hoarse voice sounded by her ear once more:

"Little Li, why have you grown up and become so disobedient?"

"Didn't you come to claim your debt? Be good. Let me love you."
