Don't Call Me Master When We're Out

Wei Chizao was a low-ranking alpha from the chaotic district. On her way to make a delivery, she couldn't resist buying a pitiful omega slave, and instantly found herself buried in debt.

The omega was cool and melancholy, with deep blue eyes that marked her as highborn at a glance.

Wei Chizao asked nothing. She treated the omega's injuries while working herself to the bone to pay off her debts, taking any job that came her way, legal or otherwise.

But the omega grew ever closer to her, taking her hand, kissing her lips, wrapping her arms around her waist and begging to be marked.

Wei Chizao was so smitten she could barely think straight.

The streets of the Central District were wide and bright. Wei Chizao excitedly brought the omega with her to report to military school, but the moment they entered, an officer tackled her to the ground and took the omega away.

When she was finally released, Wei Chizao saw the omega she had been so worried about at last, standing on the stage at the opening ceremony.

The supreme commander of the military had been invited to attend. Her deep blue eyes swept coldly over the crowd, finally coming to rest on Wei Chizao.

"...You must abide by the law."

Wei Chizao felt a chill run through her as she clenched the investigation agreement she had been forced to sign in her pocket.

-

Strict, efficient, and free of personal feelings: these were the ironclad rules of being a commander.

Jian Yue Shu kept them close to heart.

Losing her memory in an accident and being sold as a slave to a low-ranking alpha was a stain the commander could not ignore.

When her memories returned, Jian Yue Shu resolved to set everything right again.

But when the alpha followed their agreement and pretended they were strangers, lowering her eyes and shrinking behind a crowd of enthusiastic students before turning away without even looking at her, Jian Yue Shu panicked.

She knocked on the alpha's door again and again, panting and pleading amid their entangled pheromones.

"Zaozao, look at me..."

"Look only at me."
