The Amphoreus Case Files

“You” are a long-lived species, and the end of your life is madness. “You” study a dying discipline at First Truth University, a field that could be canceled at any moment. “You” once lost a portion of your memory during an attack by the Borisin. “You” walk the Path of Erudition, and your therapist believes you have self-destructive tendencies. To truly understand what intense human emotions feel like, “you” take up a friend’s recommendation and try a holographic otome game called “The Casebook of Amphoreus.” In this apocalyptic game, “you” have to win over an eligible character and get a happy ending to finish the game. Unfortunately, the game has so much freedom that after following a guide and maxing out the affection meter, “you” somehow end up with a bad ending. So “you” decide to start over. After twelve loops, all ending in bad endings, “you” realize that the key to the game is the mysterious “thirteenth variable.” How interesting. “You” become fundamentally intrigued by this game, and one morning not long afterward, “you” find that unruly stream of data outside your front door. δ-me13: Please determine the subtle changes of [my] number 13 isotope in this world.
