Sato, whose name and looks are both utterly ordinary, has lost his job.
The bad news: He owes his landlord three months' rent, and rent is due tomorrow. If he can't pay, he'll be thrown out.
The good news: The very next day, he inexplicably dies of sudden cardiac arrest and binds to a system that reincarnates him in another world. No more rent!
The System is the latest model of artificial stupidity. It says that if he sells 10,000 designated products in the new world, he can come back to life and return to his original world with the money he's earned.

Sato: Seriously? I already died, and I still have to work? I'm bravely saying no to the grind!
System: Our work hours are nine to five, with a two-hour lunch break and weekends off. Housing included, a guaranteed monthly salary of two million yen, and an eighty-percent commission on each item sold...
Sato (enthusiastic) (fired up): Boss, when do we start? I'm the most dedicated wage slave of the new era!
System (no idea what's so exciting, but getting excited too): All right, the System is assigning your profession... Your profession is: adult * shop owner.

On opening day, nobody cares.
On the second day, nobody cares.
On the third day, men in black show up to collect protection money.
Sato (cocky): Do you know what my surname is?
Man in black: ...Sato?
Sato: Then do you know Sato is the most common surname in J*pan? Believe me, all I have to do is shout, and dozens of other Satos will show up...
Man in black: To protect you?
Sato: To show you how many people are named Sato.

After meeting his sales target, Sato receives an A-rank employee from the System as a reward.
Sato: Morofushi A... Matsuda A... Hagiwara A...? Are all your A-rank employees only different in their surnames? What's the difference?
System: Their names and introductions are different.
Sato: Morofushi A, generously endowed, with the title Big-Hearted. Suitable for modeling the following products.
Sato: Is this employee of yours actually decent?
System: Of course he is. Employees exist to help sell products.
Sato: Hagiwara A, irresistible charm, with the title Friend to Women. Can increase female customer traffic. Recommended to sell... kidney tonics?
Sato: Does he have kidney problems? Employee kidney weakness doesn't count as a work injury, does it?
System: No, but kidney weakness suits the stereotype of a playboy.
System: Real people endorsing products sell better.
Sato: Matsuda A, a sharp tongue but an exceptionally handsome face. Based on big data analysis, recommended to sell collars, whips, and other...
System: Big data analysis shows this face is very popular in the ○○ and ○○ circles. Choosing him will definitely increase our store's sales!
System: And he's quite dexterous with his fingers, so he'd be perfect for...
Sato (unable to bear it, closes his eyes (closes the panel)
Sato: Hello, police station? There's a System here making things obscene. Can you do something about it?
System: ...helping to install the new items in the shop.

Reader advisory:
1. No romance. After losing his job and becoming a boss, the protagonist is in an even better state of mind. He's now a cheerful, sunny little monkey. Sato's mindset: I already died, what is there left that I can't do.jpg
2. Some of the goods the System requires the protagonist to sell have special effects. The protagonist buys up the items that won't sell himself, even at a loss. If he buys them himself, doesn't that count as selling them?
3. A silly comedy with a main plot (probably). The protagonist is morally gray. He doesn't kill anyone, but System quests have him bouncing between the red and black factions to sell products.
4. I'll add more once I've figured it out. The blurb may change later, but the jokes won't. Kicking the food tray away, let me show you how powerful the System's big gifts are.jpg
5. Click to watch an artificial idiot and a natural-born monkey perform a two-person comic routine.
