Don't Stand in the Way of My Fortune!

"I used to feel sad when I failed to record the beautiful things around me. Ever since I met you, I've understood that just having seen them with my own eyes was already the most romantic moment in the world."

After losing her job, Song Qining had to choose between looking for another one and lazing around at home.

She chose to take a solo trip instead.

She made up her mind and set off the very next day.

But something went wrong at her first stop.

Song Qining wasn't paying attention

and dropped the phone of the heiress Ni Xing into the sea.

She was a good swimmer,

so she went in after it.

But today, she seemed to have no strength at all.

Not long after diving in, she passed out.

The phone wasn't the only thing that needed to be fished out.

She ended up as "a catch in the net," too.

After waking up, Song Qining felt fine.

She just discovered she seemed to have gained a superpower:

the ability to see what would happen to someone in the future.

But she wasn't interested in any of that.

All she wanted was enough money to spend without ever running out.

A modest, simple, carefree dream.

By a twist of fate,

her power kicked in.

Song Qining discovered that Ni Xing, the bane of her existence,

actually had a few little worries of her own.

Those worries were like a net,

growing bigger and bigger as it was woven.

Song Qining thought about coming clean about her "superpower."

Ni Xing agreed to pay her accordingly.

It turned out money could make future troubles go away.

She did the job and got paid. Quick and easy.

As time went by,

Ni Xing's troubles were all but wiped away,

and little miser Song Qining reached her first small goal, too.

How long could this relationship, built on mutual benefit, last?

That depended on how long the two of them could keep working together.

The money-grubber got her money,

and the sponsor got the girl.

A quirky little miser and her haughty, moneyed patron, a girl burdened by worries
