Take the Starpath [Fearless on the Road Ahead]
A snack-loving girl who loves tapping away at her keyboard X A sniper team captain who loves collecting dead batteries
Blurb:
Out of curiosity about why SC captain collects dead batteries, Qi Rujiu signed up for the tournament tryouts. She never expected that on her very first day joining Team SC, the worst possible disaster would strike a food lover.
Article Eight of the SC Player Handbook: Professional players must maintain a rank of at least 20 stars in Yingxuan each season. Otherwise, they are not allowed to eat snacks.
Qi Rujiu: No! New players shouldn't have to suffer for the mistakes of old players! That's not fair! (Very loudly)
Team SC was holding tryouts because their team's entry fragger was about to retire.
After seeing the announcement, Qi Rujiu decided to fight for a professional career of her own.
So she signed up for the tryouts.
Qi Rujiu, ranked ninth in Zhenchuan, gave it her all. She came out on top in the fierce competition and took first place.
But she never expected that the moment she joined the team, her love of food would be snuffed out before it could take root.
Early on:
Qi Rujiu wheedled, "Captain, bring me something to eat!"
Tang Zhuan refused. "No. That's the team rule. You haven't played enough hours, so you can't eat."
Qi Rujiu: "Are you really going to watch the team's entry fragger starve to death at her computer?"
Midway through:
Qi Rujiu took a bite of a french fry, thought for a moment, then said, "Captain, I want spicy strips too."
Tang Zhuan glanced at the table piled with snacks. "Can you finish all this?"
"If I can't, I can save it for later." Qi Rujiu raised an eyebrow.
Tang Zhuan: "No more than this. Remember to stream after you finish the fries."
Later on:
Tang Zhuan set a whole armful of snacks on the table. "Is this enough? If not, I've got more."
Qi Rujiu nodded. "More than enough. Thanks, Captain. You're the best, you're my lifesaver!"

Tang Zhuan: "Camellia, would you be willing to join Team SC?"
Qi Rujiu: "No one who plays Take the Starpath ever backs down."
The XPL Pro League welcomed the rising star of Take the Starpath, Camellia. The topic stayed trending for a whole week after Qi Rujiu took first place in Team SC's tryouts.
SC captain Spike watched the entire tournament livestream. She believed that Camellia would become a very different kind of pro player.
