A Thousand Knots of Sun and Moon

“The weary bird returns to roost; the fire of departure lights the way home. Through hardship, a new journey begins.” On the Boundless Continent, women can all cultivate martial arts, tempering themselves with the energy of heaven and earth. Chu Qichi is the exception. Plagued by a heart ailment and with her spiritual pathways blocked, she stumbles along behind everyone else in this vast world, living an ordinary life. She joined the Myriad Returns Trial hoping to bring home a basketful of medicinal herbs to help with the household expenses. She never expected to meet two kindhearted powerhouses who would carry her all the way through. On the trio's trial journey, a strange woman named Chongming always appeared at just the right moment, and stole Chu Qichi's heart at first sight. Chu Qichi spent every day engineering chance encounters and confessing her love. Finally, after Chongming had been sneak-kissed for the nth time, she cupped Chu Qichi's cheeks and gently rocked her face, gazing at her with amused interest. Chu Qichi beamed in her hands. “Boss Chong has gotten clever.” The other two, busy clearing dungeons, training, and leveling up: Yin Xiyue: “Hey, where's Qichi?” Zhao Qiyou: “Busy falling in love.” Our ties from another life remain; we meet again in dreams. Chongming spent millions of years of her life to encounter this brief sojourn. She had power enough to change the rules of the world, but could not change her own heart. She commanded the life and breath of all things, but could not change fate. When the truth that “humans and birds belong to different worlds” was laid bare, Chu Qichi actually felt relieved. “You live as long as heaven and earth. After I die, I'll be no more than a speck of dust in this vast world beside you.” Zhao Qiyou: Devoted to cultivation, a prodigy at it, and a tireless hard worker x1. The powerhouse of the group. Yin Xiyue: A pampered darling, cheerful and easygoing, a tireless hard worker x2. The less powerful one. Chu Qichi: A happy journey, juggling romance and friendship, standing around and still aching in the back. The one who drags the team down. Chongming: If she can lie down, she won't sit; if she can sit, she won't stand. An overpowered human-shaped cheat and a guide NPC. 1. A prequel set in an all-women's world. The Qingying plan. 2.
