[Football] A Midfielder from the Sky

[I’ll look for inspiration once I finish the other project 😇] Falke von der Heide, a German-Chinese player, made his name at the 2025 Club World Cup with his extraordinary vision, spatial awareness, anticipation, and ability to control the tempo of a match. From then on, he announced his arrival on the football stage. But none of that could compare to his ability to calculate in his head. In the modern football market, where top-class midfielders are in short supply, Falke’s arrival got Europe’s biggest clubs thinking about signing him. But with only a few standout performances at the Club World Cup on his record, many still questioned whether this lottery ticket was worth the gamble. Then The Sun revealed that Falke’s release clause at Inter Miami was a mere five million dollars, setting off a frenzy across the football world. Every European club, giant or not, joined the scramble. During the 2025 summer transfer window, every other player’s transfer faded into insignificance beneath Falke’s spotlight. Then, with only two hours left before the window closed, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich announced that Falke von der Heide had officially joined on a three-year contract, wearing the number 24 shirt. In the Club World Cup quarter-final, Paris Saint-Germain faced Bayern Munich and handed them a crushing 2–0 defeat. Bayern’s key player, Jamal Musiala, suffered an ankle dislocation and fibula fracture, and was expected to be out for a long time. Germany, Germany: both the national team and Bayern Munich were in trouble. At the time, no one could have predicted that this young number 12, signed as a lottery ticket and an emergency reinforcement, would become the most important piece in Bayern’s puzzle. He connected everything on the pitch and conducted the most beautiful symphony. Half a season later: [Bayern Munich, you’ve finally, finally been saved.] [Falke really hasn’t wasted a bit of his name, apart from the speed.] A season later: [The biggest robbery of a transfer deal in the 21st century. I refuse to call it one of the biggest.] [How did you pull this off, Bayern Munich?! You paid only 20 million, including add-ons, for a human supercomputer and a precision-control machine?] After that: [Falke, how am I supposed to live without you?? *sobbing emoji*] [Falke, come back already! *sobbing emoji*] Little skit: OP: Other footballers during summer break: Sunshine, beaches, beautiful women Falke during summer break: Planting rice, patrolling the mountains, baggy shorts 1L: Don’t compare your everyday life to Falke’s. His face says it all: “Don’t use your vacation to challenge my daily routine.” 2L: Baby, you’re a big, broad-shouldered man, all soft and fragrant. Post a video! *flailing emoji* 3L: The mental state of my fellow Falke fans is really something else... 4L: I’m dying laughing in Falke’s comments. *screenshot.jpg* [Falke, stop playing games: Babe, don’t just plant rice, farm, patrol the mountains, climb trees, lounge around, snack on melon seeds, play chess and boxing, and walk the cats and dogs. Do something else. Rabbit Kicks Falcon: I’ve been reading lately. *thinking emoji* Musiala: ? A tactics book? Rabbit Kicks Falcon: Don’t let yourself lose because you don’t know how to express yourself, by Toni Kroos. *jpg* Toni Kroos: ?] 5L: Falke really is committed to trying every football meme and researching every bit of football gossip, true or not. 6L: And he often goes straight for the jugular right in front of the person involved. Anyone else would get torn apart for doing that... but when Falke does it, it somehow feels perfectly normal. 7L: Because he knows the important things: how close people are, how private the matter is, and whether there are cameras around. 8L: With Falke’s IQ, I’m telling you, you could sell all these footballers and they’d help him count the money. 9L: The prestige of graduating from Oxford’s philosophy department at eighteen. 1. A feel-good power fantasy. Falke is pure natural talent. The story starts in the 2025–26 season and ends with Euro 2028. He’ll win every major trophy. My writing ability is limited, so I can’t make up too much. It may take three years to write, following the seasons as they unfold... 2. OOC is absolutely fine; 3. Written on a whim. I’m a casual fan and a compulsive reviser; 4. No outline, so transfer details aren’t set in stone; 5. A power fantasy doesn’t mean he’ll always win. The butterfly effect may cost some teams their titles. Theme: Freely pursue what makes you happy.
