Picking Green Plums

Liu Zhiyuan was born in the countryside. From a young age, she and Ling Mingwei from the neighboring village were inseparable childhood friends who told each other everything.

When she was ten, people came from the capital and told her she was the daughter of the Prime Minister. They took her to a prosperous city, where she began living a life of luxury.

Much later, the truth took a turn.

She was the fake heiress, and Ling Mingwei was the real one.

When the childhood friends met again, Liu Zhiyuan was convinced deep down that Ling Mingwei would hate her. After all, Liu had taken her place and enjoyed years of glory she had never been entitled to.

She asked to leave of her own accord, but Ling Mingwei stopped her, and she remained in the Prime Minister's residence.

She thought Ling Mingwei had kept her there to torment her.

And later, she really was tormented, though not in the way she expected...
