After Her Heart Turned Cold, the Crown Princess Regretted It Too Late

Gentle, resilient minister's daughter × aloof, proud crown princess

Mu Qianxi was the daughter of a minister of the Ministry of Personnel. Her mother was an upright woman who refused to compromise. When enemies framed her, she was stripped of her post and exiled to a bitterly cold land.

Mu Qianxi was supposed to go with her, but Sheng Huawan saved her. From then on, she became a guqin player at the crown princess's residence.

The crown princess treated her wonderfully, taking care of her in every way. She even secretly sent people to look after Mu Qianxi's mother in the bitter cold.

As they spent more time together, Mu Qianxi knew their status was worlds apart, but she still fell helplessly in love with the peerless, noble heir to the throne.

At last, she gathered her courage and confessed, but received no response.

Sheng Huawan left without a word, and from then on, she grew increasingly cold toward her.

Until one day, Mu Qianxi happened to see a painting.

The woman in it looked seven-tenths like her. It had been painted by Sheng Huawan herself.

It turned out there had always been a beloved woman in Sheng Huawan's heart, and Mu Qianxi was merely a pitiful substitute.

Heartbroken after learning the truth, Mu Qianxi quietly left the crown princess's residence...

Years later, Sheng Huawan ascended the throne as the new emperor and granted a general amnesty.

Mu Qianxi, who had been living under an assumed name, returned with her mother to the hometown of her childhood.

When she opened the door to the old family home, she did not find the dilapidated courtyard she had imagined. Instead, she saw Sheng Huawan, breathtakingly beautiful in a black imperial robe.

The former crown princess, now the emperor, gazed at her with undisguised obsession...

When Sheng Huawan was young, she once faced a deadly crisis. At the moment her life hung in the balance, a young woman saved her. They had little time together, and Sheng Huawan never learned her name. When their enemies caught up, the girl fell off a cliff protecting her.

Much later, the two reunited, but a twist of fate meant they failed to recognize each other...

The day Sheng Huawan learned the truth, she was consumed with regret. She chased Mu Qianxi to Cangwu, doing everything she could to make up for the mistakes she had made.

Just as their feelings finally aligned, an unexpected turn of events deepened their misunderstanding.

When they met again years later, the girl who had once confessed to her with a heart full of nervous hope seemed no longer to have room for her...

Both heroines are devoted to each other; happy ending. The beloved woman is the heroine.
