Can a Spirit Medium Raise a Baby in the Stars? [Livestream]

Tong Yi's family has been famous for generations as spirit mediums in the surrounding villages, dating back to his great-great-grandmother.

But when the tradition reaches him, it mysteriously stops working.

Unable to perform the rituals, Tong Yi can only help his grandmother look after the household guardian spirits, a finicky bunch. In the process, he also becomes a master at giving animals spa treatments.

One day, he transmigrates to an interstellar age of beastfolk and discovers that his powers work again!

Following the ritual his grandmother taught him, Tong Yi sets up an altar and summons a strange giant python with a sharp horn growing from its head.

Not only are his powers back, but Tong Yi also discovers that his spa techniques have a remarkable soothing effect on beastfolk's spirit forms.

He plays a resonant singing bowl and grooms the fluffy coat of a mild-tempered white fox / takes a snow leopard who lacked affection as a cub to a grassy plain outside the city and gives him a catnip spa after a good run / goes with a panda with a poor appetite to a wild bamboo forest for an all-you-can-eat meal...

At his clients' suggestion, Tong Yi starts livestreaming with shared sensory feedback.

Who would have thought it would become an instant hit, making his in-person spa appointments nearly impossible to book?

Only later does he find out that the white fox he pets is a famous beastfolk supermodel / the snow leopard is a top-tier star / the panda is a wealthy old-money merchant...

One day, after ending his livestream, Tong Yi returns home completely exhausted.

The giant python in his home slithers over and gently coils around his waist.

Tong Yi strokes its cool scales and asks, “What's wrong, baby?”

Who would have thought the giant python would speak? “I want a wife.”

The giant python transforms into a tall, handsome man with long legs, broad shoulders, a narrow waist, and a roguish air.

Tong Yi recognizes his face and is shocked.

Isn't that the wanted leader of an interstellar band of drifters?

While Tong Yi stands stunned, the man pulls him into his arms.

“Didn't you say that if I became your household guardian spirit, you'd take good care of me?”

Chi Ren grins mischievously and even makes a suggestive movement with his hips.

“Snakes are naturally lustful. If you don't give me two snake eggs, that'll be the price for summoning me ^_^”
