The Gray Fox and the Drowning Fish [Haikyu!!]

[Important notice: Hey, teacher, how did you know I was going to see the Haikyuu!! stage play? (#^.^#)]

Takai Mizuho was hailed as a "genius with limitless promise." Both her parents were leading figures in Japanese swimming, and their union had everyone placing all their hopes on their daughter.

She excelled in the 100-meter freestyle, won gold, and competed in multiple butterfly events. Takai Mizuho was outstanding from childhood and made the national team, becoming a beacon of hope.

At fifteen, a car accident abruptly halted the rise of the young prodigy.

She became a drowning fish.

Miya Osamu never looked at her past achievements or disabled legs with pity.

Mizuho mistook "equal affection" for "romantic feelings."

She apologized at the fireworks festival, then drew a great fortune.

Afterward...

Takai Mizuho discovered that every seven days, she returned to her elementary school years in a dream, where her older self turned to face a little fox.

"What in the world is going on?"

-

Miya Osamu had a strange dream.

He transmigrated back to Tokyo and appeared beside an empty swimming pool, filled with sharp whistle blasts and the pungent smell of disinfectant.

Young Mizuho stood by the pool while her parents berated her harshly.

Their cruel words went on without end.

Then they abandoned her by the pool.

Osamu hurried over to her. "I'll help you."

A fish swimming through a pool shouldn't have to stop here.

Every three days, Osamu would run into young Mizuho. He took her out to play and accompanied her as she trained in the water...

Until strange things began happening one after another. Osamu watched his younger self teach twenty-five-year-old Mizuho how to play volleyball, and jealousy flooded him.

I'm working hard to save a genius! What are you doing?!

Mizuho: "Working hard to change careers?"

Isn't volleyball better than swimming?

Theme: Eat well, live well, and don't give up.
