After Becoming a Frail Young Lady, I Was Carried by a Crazy NPC [Crime Investigation]

- [ ] An Qin

- [ ] Chu Cixiang

The good news: An Qin has been transmigrated into the body of a frail young heiress, and she's genuinely rich enough to rival a nation.

The bad news: She came with a bad-luck System that guarantees she'll stumble upon a murder scene.

An Qin: ?

A transfer to Yonghe Palace?

The first time, the victim found dead inside a cake is An Qin's distant aunt, and every relative present is a suspect in the inheritance dispute.

An Qin looks at the beautiful, stern policewoman and says, "This was an accident, officer! You have to believe me!"

"I'm the richest man's daughter! Why would I care about her paltry inheritance?"

"There are seven people here, and the inheritance is 1.5 billion, not counting the fixed assets," Chu Cixiang says, watching her.

An Qin: "..." That is kind of tempting.

An Qin says, "Nobody complains about having too much money. No, I mean, I'm really not the murderer!"

The second time, An Qin and her cousin are watching fireworks in the city center when they discover a fountain of human corpses in the plaza. An Qin is standing at the best viewing spot, right where the gruesome fountain is presented to the crowd.

An Qin: "I was just passing by."

Chu Cixiang nods. "What do you think?"

"I don't think I'm the murderer, but I can't explain it." An Qin curses inwardly. The fountain below is her idiot cousin's holiday gift to her.

Talk about trying to butter someone up and kicking yourself in the foot.

The third time, An Qin calmly sits not far from a corpse, playing Fight the Landlord with her bodyguard. Thanks to her bad luck, she's the landlord every round and loses horribly every time, her face covered in slips of paper.

Everything goes dark. An Qin catches a familiar perfume scent, looks up, and gives Chu Cixiang a sweet smile. "Do you know Detective Conan?"

The fourth time, the fifth time, the sixth time...

An Qin throws her arms around Chu Cixiang, eyes brimming with tears. "Is your Criminal Investigation Unit One hiring? I can be your lucky mascot!"

Feeling the warm, sweet scent behind her, Chu Cixiang feels the hostility in her heart ease. After a moment's thought, she says, "The criminal investigation unit probably doesn't need a mascot who attracts cases."

An Qin: "..."

Chu Cixiang leans closer. "But if you meow, I can take you home."

An Qin: "...Meow!"

To keep her life of luxury intact, what's wrong with clinging to Chu Cixiang? She'll follow her home, sleep in the same bed, and have her name on the same household register.

An Qin: "I joined Criminal Investigation Unit One for one reason only: to get rid of my bad luck!"

After joining:

An Qin: "Thank you for the invitation. I have six things to say about marrying a workaholic..."
