[Yao Shi] Liuli Plains

Yuki has always been the most capable and dependable of the Eight Leaves. Murasaki and Shin'en trust him, the Dragon God's Priestess trusts him, and the other Eight Leaves always follow his lead when handling matters. But deep down, he knows that Hisui is always by his side, offering timely advice and reminders. When he makes a mistake, Hisui will even provoke and mock him to stop him, and always acts before the mistake can happen. Then he hears once more the flutter of butterfly wings he knows so well. When Hisui fights vengeful spirits, he always moves with such lightness that his feet barely touch the ground. Like the trail of a shooting star across the sky, he is impossible to catch. His flight is as beautiful as an unfinished poem. He doesn't really believe in gods or Buddhas, but a child raised amid storms still hopes for protection and has always revered the unfathomable forces beyond human ken. There are always storms, accidents, natural disasters, and other things beyond human control in this world, but surely there must be an even greater power to rely on... This is fan fiction based on the game Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 2, released by Koei. The original character designs are by Mizuho Kusanagi, and the manga and anime were published by Hakusensha. I'm grateful for the wonderful original work, which gave me the strength to write. Theme:
