[Western Crossover] Case Files of a Superhero Paranormal Investigator

You are a cleaner in Gotham.

Gotham is a gloomy city where it always rains, yet its crime rate is among the lowest in the country. So your work is pretty ordinary, too.

You thought you would live an equally ordinary life.

But one day, after you were assigned to clean the abandoned Wayne Manor, your whole worldview changed.

The truth of this world opened its doors to you.

[Basic Rules for Strange Tales]

1. They are not "human."

2. Do not try to communicate with them. Do not try to understand them.

3. Please follow their "rules."

It turns out this world once had superheroes. But one day, they all disappeared, and people stopped remembering them, leaving behind only strange legends. They say that if you commit a crime in Gotham, a strange bat-man will watch you until you turn yourself in to the police. If you run into trouble in Metropolis, even if it's just a balloon flying away, a mysterious ghost will help you get it back. In Star City...

Perhaps they never left?

But where did their enemies go?

And if the world faces another crisis, will they come back?

Before You Read:

1. First-person narration. The protagonist investigates strange tales but is an ordinary person at heart. They're also a bit robotic, with average combat ability, but they won't lose their sanity ( ). This person is a little unhinged, so read with caution (yeah) (sorry, I can't write normal people).

2. Strange-rule tales plus superheroes: it's weird, anyway, just plain strange. At the start, apart from the strange rules, everyone is ordinary. There is no magic, no superpowers, and not even any aliens.

Theme: Even if no one knows, we must watch over this world.
