What Should I Do If My Husband Doesn't Love Me Anymore?

When I was little, I met a stranger. The first time we met, he helped me escape the abuse I suffered at the hands of my family. I saw him as my only lifeline, clung to him desperately, and affectionately called him my big brother.

Just as I wished, he took me away from that impoverished home and raised me as his own younger brother, giving me a completely different life.

But I was ungrateful enough to fall madly in love with him. I knew he had always spoiled me, so when I turned eighteen, I forced him to sleep with me, beginning my seven-year-long pursuit.

I used the threat of hurting myself to make him kiss me and sleep with me. He was furious, but there was nothing he could do about me. He couldn’t stand by and watch me hurt myself, so we carried on in this ambiguous state.

But he never accepted my love. He said I was too young. He told me to come to my senses. He said he had never loved me romantically. He said I would always be his little brother.

Then, on a bright, sunny day, I suddenly came to my senses. I did as he wished: I stepped away from him with a clear head, gave him up, and decided we would just be ordinary brothers.

But he went mad, searching for me everywhere and demanding to know if I had grown up and wanted to cut ties with him...

Please, my dear big brother, I’ve been an adult for years. I can take responsibility for my actions, and I never wanted to cut ties. I only wanted us to go back to having a normal brotherly relationship.

The top’s early pursuit isn’t at all groveling. I don’t know how to describe him. He’s spoiled and presumptuous, good at acting cute and playing the good boy, emotionally fragile and sensitive, and the type to quietly walk away as soon as someone really gets angry.

His pursuit isn’t pursuit in the conventional sense, nor is he just blindly fawning. The bottom could never not love him, so please don’t call him a doormat. Thank you.

The bottom’s later pursuit probably doesn’t count as an angst-filled redemption arc... The top and bottom just need some time apart to see themselves clearly and resolve their issues, before they can have a well-earned happy ending.
