I Can't Believe I Got Pregnant with the Warlord's Baby

The reigning emperor, Zhao He, is cold and ruthless. He secured his throne through bloody conflict, and his one thorn in the side is Fu Changjiu, the Marquis of Zhenyuan. He wants him dead as soon as possible.

After an accident, the emperor and the marquis are struck by a Gu poison. They must have sex, or they will die.

Zhao He grits his teeth. He'll just pretend a dog bit him.

By day, they scheme and plot against each other at court. By night, they tangle together in bed until the imperial bed is about to collapse.

When the antidote finally arrives, their absurd relationship comes to an end.

Two months later, Zhao He feels weak, has little appetite, and is sleeping more than usual, so he summons the imperial physician.

The physician takes his pulse and drops to his knees in fright. "Y-Your Majesty... You're pregnant!"

Zhao He has been worried about producing an heir, so he's delighted. He just has to keep it a secret from the Marquis of Zhenyuan.

One day, the two quarrel again and part on bad terms. The marquis remembers that he left something behind and returns.

To his surprise, the person who had just pointed at his nose in fury is now clutching the undergarment he lost.

Zhao He is startled. Before he can hide what he's holding, he's pulled into someone's arms.

Fu Changjiu pulls out his undergarment, then gently touches the belly of the person in his arms. "Your Majesty has gained weight."

Then he pauses, his expression turning strange. "What just kicked me?"

A cold-on-the-outside, warm-on-the-inside, proud emperor who is the recipient x a rebellious, laid-back, loyal-dog war god who is the giver
