Fake Couple, Real Brothers

Chu Zhiyu needed a pretend partner to deal with his family, so he went to his buddy. His friend Jiang Lin was the untouchable campus heartthrob of the finance department: eight-pack abs, tall with long legs, and practically a walking bundle of hormones. He'd long held first place on A University's list of male gods students most wanted to sleep with.

Though he had an icy face that warned strangers to keep away, he was actually a great guy. He'd line up to buy milk tea for Chu Zhiyu, bring him breakfast and wake him up, and stay up late helping revise his papers.

Chu Zhiyu thought Jiang Lin would scold him for fooling around. To his surprise, Jiang Lin agreed. Chu Zhiyu threw his arms around his neck. "Jiang Lin, you're the best!"

The two signed a dating contract. In public, they were a couple; in private, they were genuine bros.

On Qixi Festival, Jiang Lin gave him flowers. Chu Zhiyu marveled at how thorough he was, patted him on the shoulder, and said, "I can always count on you!"

When Chu Zhiyu caught a cold, Jiang Lin waited on him hand and foot. Chu Zhiyu held Jiang Lin's hand to his chest. "Brotherhood for life."

Jiang Lin gave him a ring, and Chu Zhiyu punched him lightly in the chest. "You're a real one, man."

Until one time, when Jiang Lin got drunk, lost his senses, pinned Chu Zhiyu beneath him, and refused to let go.

Pinned down and struggling to breathe, Chu Zhiyu shook him hard. "Wake up! It's me! Look carefully, do you know who I am? I'm Xiaoyu!"

Who knew the drunk would hold him even tighter after hearing that?

Chu Zhiyu struggled free and brought his face close so Jiang Lin could see who he was.

Jiang Lin's eyes darkened, and he kissed him right away.

Chu Zhiyu: Aaaah, I'm dead.
