Gourmet Cooking After Taking Over the Rehab Hospital Cafeteria

The cafeteria at Jiang Province Rehabilitation Hospital is a place disliked by doctors and nurses and where patients and their caregivers are tired of the food. Apart from being healthy and expensive, it has nothing going for it.

Xu Xia, heir to a royal chef’s culinary tradition, transmigrates to the modern world. Seeing that the cafeteria stall inherited from her previous self is emptier than a deserted palace, and that she’ll never get by unless she pays off its debts, she rolls up her sleeves and decides to work hard.

Then one day, a food stall in the cafeteria at Jiang Province Rehabilitation Hospital suddenly becomes a hit:

Paralyzed patients come to get food even in their wheelchairs.

Caregivers arrive half an hour early to queue up for meals.

Doctors and nurses wish they could eat all three meals a day in the hospital cafeteria!

Little scenes:

In the occupational therapy room, a paraplegic patient gives up. "I don’t want to exercise. I really don’t have any strength left."

The therapist promises, "Finish this set of exercises, and I’ll go get food with you at the cafeteria!"

The paraplegic patient immediately perks up. "I’ve got strength again!"

In the psychotherapy room, a patient looks utterly hopeless. "There’s no hope in life. Just let me die."

After trying to talk the patient around for ages, the therapist finally says helplessly, "If nothing else works, how about we go have a meal in the cafeteria?"

Ten minutes later, the patient and therapist sit across from each other, devouring their food with looks of pure enjoyment.

A year later, Jiang Province Rehabilitation Hospital is better known for its cafeteria than for having the number one rehabilitation program in the province.

"Which hospital should I go to for rehab?"

"Jiang Province Rehabilitation Hospital. The food there is great!"
