Daily Grain Hoarding in the 1960s

Chen Manyu dies suddenly after staying up all night obsessively playing Snake. When she wakes up, she finds she has transmigrated into the lazy, gluttonous wife in a military family compound in a period novel. Her twin sons are so hungry they’ve become gaunt.

The three-year period of hardship is only six months away, and the family has almost run out of food.

Fortunately, she gets bound to the Snake game. She can play only one round a day, and reaching 10,000 or 100,000 points will randomly grant a mysterious reward.

Chen Manyu: That’s easy!

So rice, flour, pork, and all sorts of food start dropping at random. Chen Manyu improves life for herself and her two sons while saving up plenty of provisions.

When the famine truly hits and food runs short, everyone in the compound is scrimping and starving until they can barely move. Only Chen Manyu’s family, once the laziest and most gluttonous of them all, grows plumper by the day.

P.S. A stockpiling story, with everyday eating and drinking.

Theme: Small gains add up. Strive for a better life.
