Transmigrated as the Childhood Friend of the Fortunate Female Lead Who Starved to Death in the 1960s

[I transmigrated into the starving childhood friend next door to the lucky heroine in a period novel. With my Identify and Copy System, I can stick with her and get plenty to eat.]

Lu Zhen unexpectedly transmigrated into a period novel she'd just read.

It was the second year of the great famine in the sixties, and the heroine was born with good fortune.

Whenever she went up the mountain, pheasants and rabbits would run right into her arms.

She'd find a nest of eggs here, a patch of edible mushrooms there,

and even stumble upon grain someone had hidden in the mountains who knew how many years ago.

While the villagers struggled to scrape together enough food for one meal after another, the heroine's family ate their fill every day and even got to enjoy meat now and then.

As for Lu Zhen, she'd transmigrated into the starving childhood friend next door to the heroine.

Lu Zhen: ...Is there any way to survive this life or not?!

Luckily, she'd also been bound to an Identify and Copy System. It copied things one-to-one, and only worked on food the heroine found.

Lu Zhen:!

From now on, she was the heroine's best friend!

The kind who went everywhere with her!

"Ding! A pheasant detected. One pheasant copied and placed in the System inventory."

"Ding! A nest of eggs detected. One nest of eggs copied and placed in the System inventory."

"Ding! Five hundred jin of stored grain detected. Five hundred jin of stored grain copied and placed in the System inventory."

Years later, Lu Zhen had this to say: Maybe this life is just barely survivable after all. qwq

Theme: Strive to stay alive.
