[Moody Young Lady x B-King Pet Male Lead]
Lin Ying finds Yi Rong curled up in a trash can. Beneath the moonlight, his face is deathly pale, with blood on half of it. The other half is so beautiful it looks inhuman.
...Oh, judging by his broken horns, ragged wings, and filthy tail, he isn't human to begin with.
Lin Ying gives him a friendly smile and reaches out a hand. "Would you like to come home with me?"
Lin Ying takes Yi Rong home and looks after him with care.
She cleans him up, dresses him nicely, treats his wounds, and gives him fresh food.
All she asks in return is, "You have to call me Master."
-
The first time Yi Rong sees Lin Ying, the dainty little lady in her pretty dress bends down and places a piece of bread in front of him.
So later, when Yi Rong is badly injured and has nowhere to go, he goes to see Lin Ying again.
Lin Ying must be a good person. Sure enough, she takes him in.
It's just that Lin Ying won't let him leave his room. She makes him hide from everyone in the house except her, and has some odd preferences she expects him to indulge.
Yi Rong is grateful for everything Lin Ying has given him, including his name, her care, and a new life. He feels there's nothing he wouldn't do for her.
At first, Lin Ying squats down to stroke his head and says, "You're my good little pet."
Later, Lin Ying sits in his arms and licks the broken edge of his horn, saying, "You're my secret lover."
They grow up close and inseparable. Yi Rong thinks they are the most important people in each other's lives, until Lin Ying hands him a pet registration certificate and announces that she's getting married tomorrow. He's going along as her pet.
Yi Rong: "But you said I was..."
Lin Ying: "Do you even know what a 'secret' lover is?"
He does. It means that besides him, Lin Ying has another lover outside this room, one she can openly acknowledge.

The handbook teaches people not to keep monsters as pets, especially certain kinds that are absolutely forbidden. If you see one, you must kill it.
Before she was even ten, top student Lin Ying scoffed, "Who would make such a beginner's mistake?"
Later, a monster crashes her wedding and carries her off to the lawless land, an uninhabited place of darkness and chaos.
She sits crying on a boulder. Her pet "good doggy," a monster, squats in front of her and looks up at her, confused.
"Why are you crying on your wedding day, Xiao Ying? Isn't marrying him just as much a wedding as marrying me?"
PS: The heroine is a moody little thing from childhood to adulthood. Her engagement to someone else is for profit. She can't bear to part with the male lead, so she gets him a pet certificate, planning to take him to her new home.
The male lead is the opposite of what his name suggests: quiet and cold. (This is a story about a cool guy being a dog.) He's a monster with max combat strength, but he has always been a perfectly obedient pet for the heroine.
[Warnings] Hard to explain. You'll know after reading the first chapter. (The bar is pretty low w_w)
