During a life education class, the teacher gave us a question:
[Imagine you are aboard a sinking ship. You could be an elderly person, a pregnant woman, a doctor, a priest, the captain, a crew member, a rich person, a blind child, an athlete, or a musician. Choose one identity. Some people will escape in a small boat, while the rest stay aboard the big ship.]
Su Yu sleepily opened her eyes and chose to be the blind child.
When she came home for vacation, she found a new fish in the blue stone basin in the courtyard. Its eyes shimmered with a strange light. It was pitifully cramped inside, its whole body covered in winding blue patterns that were both eerie and beautiful.
Su Yu leaned over the basin, bored, and teased the dull fish. Her father said they had caught it at sea and would kill it for a dinner party the next day.
She thought, It doesn't look tasty.
That night, she put the dull fish in a large tub and took it to the seaside to set it free.
A thick fog suddenly rolled in. A powerful gust of wind swept through and sent her tumbling into the sea.
When she crawled back out, she was blind, ten years younger, and aboard a ship with the same name as the Titanic.
Su Yu: What the %#
-
After accidentally ending up in a horror world, Su Yu has seen too much to be surprised when a certain fish turns into a naked, beautiful young man right in front of her.
But the fish blushes and says, "I'm pregnant with your child."
Su Yu: "???"
What the hell did you just say? Don't slander me!
She humbly asks, "May I ask how I got you pregnant?"
Fish: "Our spirit forms touched."
"...Huh?"
The beautiful young fish looks up at her hopefully and asks timidly, "You'll take responsibility, right?"
P.S. The fish is the boss of the first instance. He has just come of age and goes to the human world for the first time, intending to catch people for his instance, but accidentally gets caught himself.
The heroine saves him, and because their spirit forms touched, he ends up with a "child": a monster of the same origin.
The heroine keeps entering new instances. The fish can't leave the first world, so he pines for his wife from afar, but he can send their "child" to deliver letters and messages to her: "When are you coming to see me? Come see the child..."
Heroine: I'm so young, yet I have so much on my shoulders.
Theme: The meaning of life, and recognizing the beauty of living.
