Shi Shu has always followed the rules, but at twenty-six, she found herself facing three problems.
One: her boss kept deliberately targeting her.
Two: her family never stopped pressuring her to get married.
Three: she accidentally kissed a high school classmate while drunk.
At the time, Sheng Dongchi was the founder of a corporation, a rising tech star featured in financial news, and a distinguished heir with an exceptionally handsome face.
He and an ordinary person like her were worlds apart.
At a villa party, someone tried to hit on Shi Shu. She sensed a gaze and looked up.
Dusk light spilled across the terrace above. The man had a striking, roguish profile. He glanced at her, then casually tapped his fingertips together.
After she walked away, her phone buzzed.
She read the message: "I'm the one you forced a kiss on. Why are you hiding?"
-
On a rain-soaked night when they were stranded, Shi Shu was wrapped in the man's suit jacket. Though she was in a sorry state, she seriously brought up an agreement to marry on a whim.
"We'll keep the marriage private after the wedding, and play along in front of our elders."
"We won't interfere in each other's private lives or work."
"If either of us wants a divorce, the other will agree unconditionally."
The man's breathing seemed to pause. He raised his eyes slightly, and his dark gaze took on its usual teasing, ambiguous look.
"Fine."
-
After the wedding, Shi Shu knew he was only doing it to appease his family, so she had no expectations.
But she never expected a man as carefree and spontaneous as him to rein in all his rich-boy temper after they married and indulge her private whims.
On a night when she was miserable from working late, he postponed his work and rushed home in the middle of the night, all because she had called him while sick.
Later, after leaving her teaching job, Shi Shu made a name for herself with her column. At a drinking party, someone caused trouble after drinking too much, and rumors spread that she was the other woman in a marriage. Sitting at the head of the table, the man looked at her in front of everyone, his tone languid.
"Wife, everyone's saying I'm a shameless flirt who goes after his female employees."
The room fell silent. No one had expected the rumored secret wife to be an ordinary reporter.
"How about making it public and giving me a proper title?"
-
A globally popular game under the DM Group made headlines when people learned that its inspiration had been the founder's unattainable first love. Rumors that their marriage was falling apart spread like wildfire. Everyone said this marriage between someone who married up and someone far above her was finally over.
That night, Shi Shu was trapped in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, listening to the man's suggestive words, delivered with laughter caught in his throat.
"I've wanted to kiss you like this for a long time."
"Ever since you were wearing my shirt and smiling at someone else."
"I got jealous."
"Open your mouth. Will you make it up to me?"
In the early hours of the morning, Sheng Dongchi soothed the exhausted woman in his arms to sleep, then bent down and kissed her hair.
That day, he posted a picture of their two marriage certificates.
[The girl I've loved for ten years is also the wife I'll be passionately in love with for the rest of my life.]

Reunion after years apart / marriage first, love later / roguishly handsome and distinguished x cool and well-behaved
Rising tech star x high school teacher
[Years later, Shi Shu would never forget that day.
When she was tired of her monotonous life and wavering over whether to quit her job at the school, Sheng Dongchi slipped a card under her pillow.
He left just one sentence:
"You can do anything you want and become anyone you want to be. Twenty-seven-year-old Shi Shu will always have a safety net."]

Three months into their marriage, Meng Yuan's husband in name only returned to the country.
He was Cen Jian'an, the eldest son of the Cen family, a powerful group chairman who had just come back from overseas.
No one would have guessed that the mysterious Mrs. Cen everyone had been speculating about was just an ordinary office worker.
Before getting their marriage certificate, they had met only once and barely knew each other.
They moved in together because their elders insisted. Their main interaction was playing along in front of the family.
Then there was the strawberry cake and limited-edition giant teddy bear she received on her birthday, things she had wanted for years.
She had been so busy working overtime that she forgot her own birthday. She never expected the man to remember.
-
Before the wedding, Meng Yuan heard her friends worry that her future husband was rumored to be rigid and cold, and that the huge gap in their status would leave her suffering many indignities.
But when she had a nightmare while sick, the man woke in the middle of the night, frowned, pulled her into his arms, and patiently soothed her. "Don't be afraid. I'll hold you while you sleep."
Later, Meng Yuan accidentally clicked on a topic and was caught in the act. On her screen, the title read: A harmonious married life depends on how well a couple kisses.
"Let's try it," Cen Jian'an said as he unhurriedly took off his watch.
During the day, he was the imposing, cold, and unapproachable head of the group, as her coworkers put it.
At night, he would pin her down and say in a low, measured voice, "One more kiss."
-
Cen Jian'an had spent the first half of his life making ruthless decisions. When he reached thirty, his family arranged for him to marry a wife with whom he would maintain a respectful distance.
He never expected that in the second half of his life, he would experience what it was like to be the one who bowed his head.
At a banquet, Meng Yuan went out to look for someone. The man stood on the long steps, frowning as he called his private doctor. "My wife thinks I'm too rough. I keep making her cry, and now she's insisting on moving into the study."
Thinking back to that time, the jealous man had trapped her against the floor-to-ceiling window, rubbed her earlobe, and asked in a low, unhurried voice, "Do a lot of people pursue you?"
That night, Cen Jian'an wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes and patiently coaxed her. "Wife, come back to our room. Let's have a baby."
He also said with utmost seriousness, "As long as you're willing to be my wife, I won't let you suffer the slightest indignity out there."

Shu Shu and Mr. Sheng, long time no see~
When will the welfare extras be updated 😳
The rating is not five stars, so I won't comment yet. It will have a negative impact 🎆
Wow wow wow, I really like your writing. I read the books by Shu Yi and Shao Cen and found the long and flowing writing in large letters to be particularly delicate. Then I read the writings by Shu Shu and Brother Chi. Brother Chi is really a guiding lover, and Shu Shu is also brave enough to stick to her own affairs! [Three-flowered cat head][Three-flowered cat head][Three-flowered cat head] I like it very much🥰 Thank you for your hard work. I'm looking forward to the next article~ I'm already looking forward to it~ By the way, do you have an account in wb? I seem to be following you!!!
