On the eve of his investment company’s IPO, Chu Chu transmigrated.
He landed in an elite academy as a decorative teacher.
His predecessor was beautiful but foolish. Her adoptive father had paid to get her into the top school, where her goal was to land a rich man. She ended up ostracized by teachers and students alike, and killed herself.
A mere cannon fodder character.
There were five real leads: four powerful gongs, the F4, whose families ran the country and controlled the academy;
and one specially admitted shou, the F5, born poor but determined to make something of himself. The four above him joined forces to coerce him, and he eventually left the school in disgrace.
System: [Your mission is to become a teacher the F5 trusts, protect him from scum gongs, and help him graduate normally. Succeed, and I’ll grant you one lawful wish.]
Chu Chu: Let me get my teaching certificate first.
System: [Allow me to remind you, your family is about to go bankrupt. If you get kicked out of the academy, we’re both finished.]
Chu Chu: .
Chu Chu: So I really have to attend this bullying academy?
Yes.
Chu Chu turned a deaf ear to the world outside his window and devoted himself to teaching the art of making money.
His daily routine soon became: whip students into shape in class, invest after class, snatch up family businesses outside school, rein in the F4 on campus...
Oh, and sort out the “little disputes” between students from different social classes.
In the sports equipment room, Chu Chu chased away the students bullying the F5.
“Why are you helping me?” The corner of the F5’s mouth was split. His wooden expression turned into a smile that reeked of blood.
Chu Chu answered honestly, “You’re my student.”
“Are you trying to take pity on me, or use me?”
Chu Chu looked down at the F5’s battered yet ambitious face. His reply fell from above like a chip being placed on the table.
“I’m betting on you.”
Those who accepted a chip from him had always met one of only two endings:
Success, or being ground into the mud.
Chu Chu was fair in his dealings and had the bearing of a distinguished teacher. He slapped the specially admitted students once, the privileged students once, then soothed them after each slap before slapping them again. The slaps went on without end.
In his students’ eyes, Chu Chu was: 😈/😇
A twisted love and hatred took root in the warped academy. At the center of all those sticky, intent gazes, the protagonist remained indifferent and lawless.
Chu Chu soon made countless enemies at Saint Xian.
They tossed and turned at night, yearning to be trampled again even as they used every means at their disposal to try to see Chu Chu ground into the dirt.
A year later, Chu Chu became an honorary member of the school board.
Years later, the academy’s brilliant graduates were frequently pursued by the media.
They were all asked the same question: Which teacher had the greatest influence on you?
Their answer was remarkably consistent.
“Mr. Chu.” The name would be carved into Saint Xian’s school stele, impervious to wind and sand, untouched by the passing years.
Never to fall.

Reading guide:
1. One-on-one, both characters have only ever loved each other. The shou is a beautiful, smiling schemer, and he worked in investment before transmigrating.
His evil deeds include, but are not limited to: bullying bullies, oppressing privileged students, mocking specially admitted students, grabbing one family’s assets after another, shorting your company and taking over someone else’s.
2. The true gong is the wolf cub F5, a specially admitted student. But the shou will have romantic storylines with other people, including hugging and kissing.
F1 through F5 are all pure and innocent, with no romantic tension among them, just countless rivals competing for the same person. The original novel’s romances are all made up.
3. All major characters are adults when the story begins. No relationship will be established, and nothing will happen between teacher and student while they are in school. The pursuit begins after graduation, when the protagonist has already quit.
4. The golden finger is extremely overpowered. The setting is an alternate world ruled by powerful financial clans. Don’t scrutinize the professional details; everything is in service of making the story satisfying.
