Ghost cultivators are a sinister bunch, hunted by both immortals and demons.

Yue Xing is a twenty-year-old Foundation Establishment ghost cultivator. Orphaned young, he has middling cultivation and middling talent.

He has one enormous flaw.

He's afraid of ghosts.

As if that weren't bad enough, just yesterday the ghost lord he depended on was killed by a group of immortal cultivators. The chosen ones came charging in, shouting things like "exterminate demons" and "punish evil, promote good," and destroyed the home he'd lived in since childhood.

Because of his pretty face, Yue Xing was taken alive to the immortal sect and locked in a water dungeon. Soon, he would become a cultivation furnace, used and drained until he died.

But there was no ghostly energy in the cultivation world, and no dead people in the water dungeon, so he couldn't cultivate.

Then one day, Yue Xing transmigrated into a place called a "horror dungeon."

Vicious ghosts ran rampant, and the rules were bizarre. The newcomers were terrified, while the veterans looked down on them.

The first time he encountered a ghost, Yue Xing could only huddle in a corner and tremble. His foxlike eyes quickly filled with tears, turning everything hazy.

The players with him watched coldly. A newcomer who came in completely unprepared, wearing a traditional-style cosplay outfit... No question about it.

But the dungeon showed no mercy to pretty faces.

Newcomers who couldn't prove their worth were only fit to be used up.

No one knew that Yue Xing wasn't just scared. He was excited.

The ghostly energy here... was as thick as home.
