[Great Ming] Court Intrigue Calls for an Unorthodox Approach

(The world isn't worth it: a goofy, chaotic tale of governing the country and bringing peace to the land, and a heroine who picks fights with everyone. Come for a laugh; you won't regret it.)

Li Fengyao woke up to discover she had transmigrated into the body of a pretty innkeeper at the Meilong Town inn in the Ming dynasty. She was young and beautiful, had inherited the family inn, and was bound to a panda-shaped inn-upgrade System.

She thought the panda had kidnapped her, but since she was already here, she might as well make the best of it. Just as she rolled up her sleeves and prepared to get to work, a young nobleman came to confess his love. She beat him up, and then the System told her he was the emperor.

This goofball was the Zhengde Emperor, traveling incognito.

So what if he's the emperor? She'd beat up a lecherous tyrant who harassed common women!

It turned out she'd been handed the script for The Dragon and Phoenix Inn. She was Li Fengjie herself.

She had no interest in palace intrigue, but she was more than happy to roast old men. She set the palace in order while keeping an eye on the court, stirring up a huge storm among the officials. The officials went from looking down on her and mocking her to being utterly shocked and wary. How could this woman curse better than the censorate, calculate better than the Grand Secretariat, and fight better than the Eastern Depot?

Even when they all ganged up on her, they still couldn't beat her. This woman was terrifying.

Zhu Houzhao's eyes lit up. He immediately latched onto her. "My beloved consort! My realm needs talented people like you!"

Li Fengyao was very interested in his throne. She loved it deeply. Don't worry, I'll help you soar.

Palace intrigue? No, political intrigue.

Female-lead-focused story. Even if the heroine gets pregnant, she'll only have daughters. The Ming dynasty in this story is based on Tales of Leisure from the Guest Window. Don't treat it as a historically accurate portrayal of real events or people. History takes a different course from this point on, and the Jiajing Emperor will never ascend the throne.

(This isn't exactly my strong suit, but come in and try a bite. It's delicious!)

Content warning: The heroine is ambitious and not a good person.

Theme: Everyone is responsible for the fate of the world.
