Your Majesty, You Can't

After transmigrating into a book, Pei Shu gets pestered by a System that insists he save the world.

As he listens to the System describe all the tyrant's misdeeds, he thinks, Great, shouldn't we start a rebellion?

But the System insists that the dynasty's mandate has not yet run its course, and that defying heaven will only lead to a gruesome death.

Now he knows just how badly this dumbass System takes the tyrant's side.

So this isn't about saving the world at all. It's about saving the tyrant.

Pei Shu puts in as little effort as possible, but after the System forcibly sets them up, he gets scared and decides to play along. Maybe he can pretend to be a divine immortal and interview for a job with the boss.

After several failed attempts, Pei Shu decides that Helian Che doesn't need saving. He needs to die. There's no hope for him. Just bury him.

Helian Che stares at Pei Shu with bloodshot eyes. "Teacher, a few worthless people who wanted you are dead. How could you abandon me over them?"
