The Failed Art Student's Struggle in Ancient Times

Zhou Gelao failed her imperial exams. In the midst of her grief and anger, an accident turned her into the eldest legitimate daughter of the military governor of Fengxiang.

As luck would have it, before she could enjoy a life of luxury, disaster struck.

Her father bled to death in the wilderness, and rebel forces laid siege to the city. Looking around, she saw a frail mother, young siblings, and a household full of relatives like lambs waiting to be slaughtered.

Fortunately, her original body was highly skilled in martial arts. With no other options, she looked at the officials in the city, most of whom had already sent surrender letters to the rebels, climbed onto a high platform, and called the troops to arms. She made one grand promise after another, kindling a fire of united resolve. The officers and scholars under her command burned with enthusiasm, and the people were willing to fight to the death.

With a three-foot sword in hand, she fought her way through the flames of war. And so, crowned in yellow robes, she changed who ruled the realm.
