I've been really into Gin lately, so I'm going to write a Gin story. I originally wanted to write "Gin's Life," but someone has already written it, and it looks great. You should go check it out.
Anyway, I'll use the few glimpses of him in the manga as a framework and flesh things out.

With my other works, I lose motivation partway through. Writing Anko is more fun with the dice girl keeping me company, even if I keep getting wrecked and have scrapped several outlines. I just realized I calculated Gin's birth year wrong. Based on when the organization appeared, it should be 1950 at the earliest. Never mind, I'll leave it as is and find a way to explain it with Conan-style logic.
