(Ultraman) How to Escape the Land of Light

How to Escape from the Land of Light; On the Possibility of Not Turning Evil

April 28, 2025: Draft blurb saved for later revision

Kalonis is attacked by a monster while hanging out with a friend, and unexpectedly regains his memories. It turns out he's been reincarnated into the world of Ultraman.

Discovering that he has a blue body, the former otaku and tokusatsu fan is shocked. Once he calms down, he is relieved to find himself in the Land of Light, rather than the musclebound U40 or the exploitative factory known as 050. Then he hears his friend's voice.

"Are you okay, Kalonis?"

He turns to see a little Taiga in blue chest armor looking at him anxiously.

Scenes from the shows in his memories flash through his mind, and he lets out a piercing shriek.

Kalonis: I'm not okay at all!

A blue member of the Taiga family is not someone you want to be!

Back home, he sees a familiar blue Ultra and finally remembers something even more important.

His older brother's name is Tregear.

Tregear: You went out with Taro's son again?

Kalonis: ... (smiles in the face of danger)

Any way you look at it, my chances of turning evil are one hundred percent.

And just which parallel universe's Ultraman is this, anyway? I should probably get out of the Land of Light as soon as possible.

Even knowing it's not the same universe, he still wants to return to Earth and see his true home.

To do that, he has to seize every chance he can.

Tips:

1. The male lead was human in his previous life.

2. The timeline is entirely independent and has no connection whatsoever to the original. Tregear's personality is closer to his TV version.

Theme: Never let the fire in your heart go out.
