Yokohama's Literary Warriors

Working Title: Maybe I'll Build a Super Sentai Team in Yokohama

April 28, 2025: Draft blurb saved for later revision

Monsters suddenly appear in Yokohama, and even ability users struggle to deal with them.

Just as everyone tries to take the monsters down, a red warrior suddenly appears, and a strange bracelet materializes on their wrists.

Akasaka Hayato: The flame of courage burns bright! The Red Warrior who protects justice has arrived! Come on, partners, let's fight side by side!

Everyone, forcibly transformed: ?? What's with these skin-tight suits!?

Ranger Chuuya, Pink: Hey, wait a second! Why am I the only one wearing a skirt?

After the battle, the mysterious boy who called himself the Red Warrior vanishes without leaving a trace.

While everyone in Yokohama tries to track down the Red Warrior, the person in question is happily working as a delivery driver, completely unaware.

"Ding-dong."

"Your food delivery is here. Enjoy!"

Some time later.

Akasaka: It's time for our roll call! Say our names loud and proud!

Atsushi: ...Do we really have to? This is so embarrassing... The White Tiger Beneath the Moon, who protects love and kindness, Warrior Yellow, reporting for duty...

Akutagawa: I refuse to do something so foolish.

Dazai: Wow, Atsushi-kun, you're amazing~ (claps)

Akutagawa: ...

Akutagawa: The Barkless Hound of Calamity, who protects conviction and perseverance, Warrior Black, reporting for duty.

Dazai: The Drowning Enthusiast who protects bandages and sleeping pills, Warrior Blue, reporting for duty~

Chuuya: You aren't protecting anything at all!

Akasaka Hayato: Don't fight, everyone. We're all partners!

Everyone: Who said we're partners with these guys?

The least united team in history, reporting for duty!

Tips:

1. The male lead is a classic Red Ranger, a hot-blooded, eccentric idiot.

2. There'll be lots of tokusatsu jokes, including not just Super Sentai, but Kamen Rider and Ultraman, too.

3. It's a comedy with little concern for logic. There will be non-original monsters and bosses.

Theme: Heroes must never flee in the face of danger.
