Yokohama Investigator Simulator

[Idea on hold, 23.11.24]

My name is Sakai, and I'm an ordinary newspaper reporter.

For work, I was transferred to Yokohama, a dangerous city full of ability users and crimes.

A serial killer who uses scissors, a rotten mermaid on the shoreline, a night of bizarre dolls... All kinds of strange incidents take place in Yokohama.

Driven by a reporter's curiosity, I decided to investigate these cases one by one.

"First, let's invite a partner..."

1. Brainy, bandage-wrapped, black-sludge guy

"Hmm? What a pitiful death..."

2. Doll-loving, sharp-tongued detective

"An interesting case. Since it's not human, I can use my deduction skills, right?"

3. Snack-loving, great detective

"Heh heh, I see. The great detective has figured it all out!"

4. Shy, half-beast boy

"I'll do my best to protect everyone!"

5. Hat-wearing gravity manipulator

"We can just crush all those monsters, right?"

Sakai: Hmm, my teammates are all really strong.

Tips:

The male lead is not a fighter, but his knowledge and inspiration stats are maxed out.

Includes tabletop role-playing dice rolls, moderate Lovecraftian elements, and horror elements such as evil gods and urban legends.

Most plot developments are determined by dice rolls, so the story may go off the rails or end without a reasonable conclusion (investigation terminated).

This is definitely not a power fantasy. I can only guarantee that the characters won't die (no character sheets will be torn up). I can't guarantee anything else...

Only one or two companions (characters) will be invited for each case.

Some scenarios will disable supernatural abilities, otherwise the hat-wearing guy could just steamroll everything and there'd be nothing left to do...

Theme: Cherish life, stay away from tabletop role-playing games.
