"Yes. I've met lots of versions of you." Pandora winked at the Bats. "You know how it is. Readers need something fresh."
She took a bite of one of Bruce's freshly burnt pancakes, leaving Alfred's signature dessert untouched beside her.
The Bats exchanged glances. Bruce asked, "So you're more or less like Bat-Mite?"
"What?" Pandora looked up, still crunching loudly. "Good grief, don't insult me!"
What kind of weird thing was he talking about? And was her sense of taste all right?
Pandora was a strange woman who had appeared out of nowhere in the Batcave. She claimed to have visited many parallel worlds and was taking a break here for the time being.
She said she'd ended a reign, created a world, led a revolution, and so on and so forth. All this did was make Bruce want to find her a therapist even more.
"Everyone reacts like that at first." Pandora shrugged indifferently. "You'll see."
As it turned out, she was right. They could always spot Pandora anywhere they could imagine: Gotham, Metropolis, outer space, and even beyond the universe.
Just as the myths say: "Pandora opened the box, and at once all the disasters, plagues, and evils inside flew out. From then on, humanity suffered from disasters, plagues, and evils."
But she wasn't the woman who opened the box. She was the box itself, just like the calls she received every day from different parallel worlds.
1. The heroine is a concept-god type of chaos-loving goofball, with meta elements that break the fourth wall. She's familiar with everyone across the parallel worlds. The main plot is basically about calls from parallel worlds revealing the stories of other worlds to the Batfamily in the main universe. I wanted to write about so many parallel worlds, but didn't want to flesh each one out, so I made a quick compilation instead ().
2. There may be a little SuperBat, since the plan includes Starflower. Starflower is a gender-swapped female version of the SuperBat counterpart, and the Bat is a woman. The two really do get together, so if that's not your thing, please be aware. I'll mark that chapter in the title.
3. A crossover of Marvel and DC, no CP, just a silly fun story.
