The Sickly Beauty with a Terminal Illness Is Targeted by an Evil God

On the day his terminal illness was confirmed, Xue Xi left the wealthy family he had never managed to fit into. He found a beautiful, peaceful place where no one lived and prepared to spend what little time he had left alone.

He hadn't expected to meet a neighbor there.

The man was handsome, with long hair and few words. He was courteous and polite, and he could drive away evil spirits.

At first, Xue Xi had only asked out of politeness whether he wanted to have tea together. But after that, the man started showing up at his door every day at the same time to ask for tea. He also helped Xue Xi out in plenty of other ways.

Xue Xi had a good impression of him. Even if he was going to die, having a friend was a nice thing.

Another six months passed, then a year. The illness doctors had told him would kill him within six months had not worsened. If anything, he seemed to be getting better.

Even more inexplicable, when Xue Xi slept at night, he often saw what seemed to be a shadow in his room, on his bed, and on his body. But whenever he turned on the light to look closely, there was nothing there.

Then his neighbor confessed that he had feelings for him and asked whether he would be willing to try dating.

The man was handsome and considerate, with a tall, imposing build. When he came close, his overwhelming presence made it seem impossible to refuse anything he said.

Xue Xi had never dated a man before. Caught up in the moment, he said yes.

After that, the man used the excuse of helping him ward off evil spirits to share his bed with him, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

Then, at his boyfriend's tentative request, Xue Xi thought that he was going to die anyway and there was no harm in doing anything, so he slept with him.

That night, in a daze, Xue Xi saw shadows filling the room. Every one of them was him, tightly coiling around and enveloping Xue Xi.

The man lowered his hoarse voice and called out, "I finally found you! This time, we'll never be apart again!"

Twenty years ago, the wealthy Xue family lost their real young master. They eventually found him, but by then the family had already accepted the fake young master as one of their own. They treated the returned real young master, who was in poor health, like a stranger and kept him at a distance.

No one even asked about him when he disappeared for a whole year.

It was only when a new servant was cleaning the real young master's room one day that she found a medical report on the desk confirming he was in the late stages of a terminal illness.

The entire Xue family panicked.
