The Villainous Crown Prince Only Wants to Seize the Throne

One day, the great villain Xie Changyun learns that he is living inside a book.

He has committed every evil deed, only to end up with nothing. The heroes are his useless imperial brother and an outsider who transmigrated into the book.

Xie Changyun reflects on his life as a villain and decides things shouldn't be this way.

That night, he has the transmigrated protagonist bound and tossed onto his bed. Pressing a cold finger to the young man's throat, he sneers.

"If you have to give yourself to someone, choose me instead of him."

"Refuse, and I'll kill you."

Xie Changyun only wants to humiliate and torment the young man, to watch him weep and fall apart at his feet.

But instead of tears, the transmigrated protagonist struggles to his feet with the rope still around him, crawls over as if examining something fascinating, opens his mouth wide, and cries, "Holy shit?"

Huo Wuji transmigrates into a political intrigue novel about a romance between two men. If he follows the plot, he'll rise to wealth and glory, and even the eldest prince, who eventually seizes the throne, will favor him.

But... Huo Wuji is a defiant nonconformist, and he's fallen for the story's poisonous, beautiful, strong-yet-tragic villain.

Over and over, Huo Wuji cries out in admiration:

"Damn, so ruthless, so seductive. I'm in love!"

"How can such a beauty die young? Kill me instead and let him live!"

"If I could share a bed with this beauty, I'd have no regrets in life. Ah!"

Then one day, he opens his eyes and finds himself on the beauty's bed for real.

Seeing the Crown Prince Xie Changyun approaching with a smile, Huo Wuji nearly faints.

Wait, let me explain!

Later on.

Xie Changyun still never gets to see the young man he abducted break down in tears. Instead, the boy brings him water, washes his feet, and warms his bed every day, growing more and more attentive.

The boy who kept saying he wanted to become a great general eventually fulfills his dream and becomes a renowned general who conquers lands far and wide. But he never returns to the eldest prince's side. Instead, he secretly helps Xie Changyun eliminate every enemy faction.

And while he's at it, he cuts off every one of Xie Changyun's romantic prospects.
