The Paranoid, Sickly Beauty Has Come Around

In their seventh year together, Chi Yunsan still couldn't win Lu Jiyue's heart.

On Lu Jiyue's birthday, Chi Yunsan sat propped up in front of the cake, holding on until almost midnight before Pei Jiyue finally showed up.

"Quick, make a wish." Chi Yunsan cupped his hands around the candle's faint light.

Lu Jiyue didn't even look at him as he walked past. A gust of wind blew out the candle, and he said coolly, "I wish you'd leave me forever. Can that wish come true?"

Chi Yunsan clutched the diagnosis in his pocket and gave a bitter smile. "It can."

The diagnosis said he had only six months to live.

This was meant to be the birthday gift he gave Lu Jiyue.

The first time Chi Yunsan saw Lu Jiyue, he couldn't take his eyes off him. He watched the unbelievably handsome man walk over and hold out a handkerchief. "Are you all right?"

Chi Yunsan took it and wiped the underside of his nose. His heart racing, he said, "Sorry. You're just so handsome, I got a nosebleed from wanting you so badly."

Seven years later, Lu Jiyue looked at Chi Yunsan, whose nose was bleeding, and sneered. "What happened to saying you didn't love me anymore? You still get nosebleeds from how handsome I am?"

Chi Yunsan calmly pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped away the blood with practiced ease. "No, I'm just sick. Sorry you had to see that."
