An Unremarkable Beta

Shen Pingji is an unremarkable Beta. Every day, he makes the same commute between his company and his rented apartment. He has little social life and few interests, just like most people in the world.

Then one day, tired of his dull, humdrum life, Shen Pingji takes the initiative to seduce his boss when the man has been drugged, and the two end up in bed together.

Shen Pingji wants a little excitement. At night, he lets his body unfurl, all fiery and flirtatious. By day, he returns to being an unremarkable, cool Beta.

The two hit it off and become lovers confined to the night. But secrets never stay secret, and eventually their relationship gets out.

A friend asks his boss, "That Beta seems so ordinary, except for his good looks. Are you two really together?"

His boss replies, "He's just a bedmate."

Shen Pingji knocks on the door with a file in hand, perfectly composed. "Mr. Fu, I have a document for you to sign."

Shen Pingji no longer shows his boss his flirtatious, passionate side, and at night he becomes just as ordinary a Beta as he is by day.

He finds a new target: a young, vigorous athlete.

On the night Shen Pingji gets a room with the athlete, his boss kicks the door open in a fury. "You want to sleep with him? Shen Pingji, what do you take me for?!"

Wearing sexy, tight black lace and bunny ears, Shen Pingji calmly lights a cigarette. Through the haze, he says, "A little diversion from a boring life."

"But now I'm bored. He's more interesting than you."

.

Later, his boss grips Shen Pingji by the waist and takes him hard. "Am I more interesting than him now?"

Shen Pingji gives a hoarse laugh. "At most, you're stronger than him. That doesn't make you more interesting."

Grinding his teeth, his boss brings out a pile of all sorts of toys. "I'll prove I'm more interesting than him."
