I Mistook the Devil for a God

Qiao Zhiming had been a sickly child since he was little. His health was poor, but, strangely, every time he visited his maternal grandmother, she would take him to burn incense before the statue she worshiped, and his health would miraculously improve that very day. It worked like a magic cure-all. Qiao Zhiming became a devoted fan of this deity, or perhaps a worshiper. He burned incense and offered food every day, was very superstitious, and prayed to the deity about everything. He even treated it like a diary, chattering away to it day after day. But he didn't know that the one he worshiped wasn't a god or Buddha, but an evil spirit that had crawled out of the depths of hell. . You Zhu had been sealed away for years. In his stupor, he could always hear someone chattering endlessly beside him, and he could feel a small measure of faith, something he hadn't experienced in thousands of years. When he broke free of the seal, he went to see where the faith was coming from. As soon as he entered, he saw a young man lift the hem of his shirt in front of his statue, expose his belly, and earnestly murmur, "Deity, I fell down today and bruised myself here. Please heal it for me, and I'll make you braised pork." You Zhu: "...??" Later, Qiao Zhiming suddenly noticed some frightening changes in his body. For instance, when he woke up, he would find lots of soft white fur on his bed, and his scalp would itch. He went to every hospital he could find, but no one could offer a solution. He thought he must be seriously ill. When the deity appeared before him, he asked sadly, "Deity, deity, can this illness be cured? Am I going to survive?" You Zhu smiled. "It can be cured, of course. We can start treatment tonight." Then Qiao Zhiming was carried to bed and treated all night. ...The next day, he felt like he was one step closer to death. orz The preorder cover comes from a forum.
