After Unearthing My Archenemy's Diary

(Complete)

An immortal god leads an archaeological expedition and accidentally digs up the grave of his nemesis.

The nemesis had done countless evil deeds and was as stupid as a pig. His most valuable research journal was written in crooked scrawl, and at a glance, it seemed to be nothing but insults directed at the god.

The god appears to be deciphering an artifact, but in reality, he reads it every night before bed for amusement and can't stop enjoying himself.

After reading it for half a month, he reaches the end of the hefty journal and suddenly realizes something seems off.

Damn it, this doesn't look like a journal.

It's a love letter his nemesis wrote to him.

1. A little short story, just for fun.

2. A god who's cold and aloof on the outside but wears fluffy pajamas and drinks ice-cold soda in private × a scheming nemesis who crawls out of his grave to find his beloved after turning into a love-struck fool.

3. 1v1, happy ending. If it's not sweet, you can eat me.

4. Writing exactly what I like, no restraints.

5. The idea was inspired by a post I saw while browsing Xiaohongshu. It's not my original idea.

6. The story is free and won't be put behind a paywall. There are too many similar comments on various platforms to confirm the original source. If the original creator sees this, please contact me (scratches head). Screenshot saved on 2025.4.16, including all of the above.

While you're here, check out my upcoming story about another pair of nemeses, My Nemesis from a Past Life Claims He's My Best Friend.

- "Your nemesis is really dead, and now you're upset about it."

Shi Wei is a short-lived man with an incomplete soul. For the first twenty-odd years of his life, he just muddled along one day at a time, giving his master a massive headache trying to support him.

Then a man claiming to be his close friend from a past life comes looking for him, promising to support Shi Wei for the rest of his life.

The man is a demon cultivator who's lived for a thousand years and has no telling how many treasures. He babbles about how he's finally found his friend's reincarnation and how much Shi Wei must have suffered over the years. He gives him anything he wants without question, practically treating him like an ancestor.

Shi Wei believes him.

After all, who would suspect a walking god of wealth who gives him a million a month in spending money?

Then he unexpectedly remembers a few things.

The upheaval at the mountain sect five hundred years ago. The spiritual energy running wild inside the final sealing formation. Snow falling from the sky as someone ran him through the heart with a sword.

They definitely couldn't be called close friends.

More like sworn enemies until death.

More than five hundred years ago, Hu Yun met someone he loved. Later, that person died in his arms.

After finally accepting that their story had ended just one step short of a happy ending, he packed up and prepared to throw himself into the sea. Then his beloved returned in a new life.

If he wanted to rekindle their romance, he'd first have to make Shi Wei fall for him. The fox spirit thought for a few seconds, then decisively dug into his coffin savings and tricked Shi Wei into moving in with him.

Win a man's heart by winning his stomach first, so he cooks three meals a day.

Make him so comfortable he won't want to leave, then give Shi Wei another three million to spend however he likes.

Shield his beloved from trouble, fight for him when necessary, and preferably get hurt so Shi Wei will worry.

Finally, find the pieces of his lost soul and wait for him to remember the details of their past life.

They'll be lovers in no time.

The fox spirit has recovered from another serious illness and happily follows Shi Wei to a couple's cafe on the street, having already decided exactly how he'll accept the confession later.

But the man sitting across from him looks grave and asks, "What scheme are you plotting by getting close to me?"

"?" Hu Yun can't smile anymore.

Would you believe me if I said I just want your body?

- A cold-faced catlike bottom and a flamboyant, flirtatious top

- My own take on demon hunting. The worldbuilding is made up as I go, with no logic. Please don't read it for historical accuracy.

- Both are devoted to each other, the top spoils the bottom, and the past-life plot is important, so please don't skip it.
