My Childhood Friend Hates Me for Being a Blockhead

Lu Si's boyfriend cheated on him. When he heard the news, he grabbed a weapon, called his childhood friend, and cornered the guy within half an hour. Five minutes later, they called an ambulance.

Even with his face bruised and swollen, the scumbag kept yapping. "Is cheating really all my fault? We've been dating for two months, and you won't let me kiss or hug you. Do you have some kind of intimacy phobia?"

Lu Si was hopping mad. Luckily, his childhood friend was very considerate. Before Lu Si could strike again, he kicked the scumbag and dealt him a second round of damage.

After seeing the scumbag into the ambulance, the two troublemaking friends walked home with their arms around each other.

Lu Si lamented how quickly true feelings could change. Overcome by emotion, he listed all thirty of his exes from the past twenty years to his childhood friend. Not one of them had been any good.

"Ha ha, men are all dogs," Lu Si said with a bitter smile. "And I'm gay."

"That's a pretty hopeless situation," his friend said.

But Lu Si was an optimist. Before he even got home, he'd come around and decided not to overthink life.

He waved goodbye to his childhood friend, who lived in the villa next door, then headed toward his own home, muttering to himself, "Who should I pick for my next boyfriend...?"

"How about me?"

Lu Si whipped around.

Rong Yang was standing beneath the lemon tree they had planted together when they were five. His expression was unreadable.

"Pick me. We're grown up now. We can take responsibility."

"Stop testing me with all those random people."

"Choose me as your boyfriend."
