I work at Gotham's impossibly easy-to-overlook police station.
The job is as pointless as air, and there's a risk to my life every day, but I still haven't quit.
Because while I'm at work, every so often I find one of my vigilante family members.
Yes, my family. They're all vigilantes.
I know exactly who they are. I've called Bruce by name in front of Batman and handed coffee to Red Robin, but they still insist on the rule that "one person in this family has to be kept in the dark," stubbornly refusing to admit who they are... Fine, I can be the one who's "kept in the dark."
I'll pretend I don't know.
I keep finding vigilantes in Gotham: one red, one black, one blue...
Until my youngest brother shows up.
He asks the others, "Why are you talking to the air?"
Me: ? Is the Gotham police station's air really that powerful?

The Batfamily lost a member.
He died as a child, before he ever became a vigilante.
Before he died, he was playing "Guess which vigilante I am" with the others. He guessed everyone's identity, then died at the Joker's hands in the middle of a Gotham night.
The Bats buried him, but before the next dawn broke, they saw his figure.
He waved at them. "Good evening, vigilantes!"
Gotham had gained a ghost. A ghost visible only to those wearing masks and capes.
The ghost didn't remember that he was dead. Every day, he wandered Gotham's streets, greeting the vigilantes and sometimes even calling them by their real names.
The Batfamily vigilantes held their masks firmly in place.
No. They were afraid that if they took off their masks, the ghost would disappear for good.
