◇◇ The game has opened a new map.
You were farming in Kansas when you suddenly inherited a new estate from your grandpa: Arkham Farm.
Overjoyed, you arrive in Arkham Town and enter your farm. You clear the land, plant crops, get along with the townsfolk, and give every NPC you meet the bombs and Batarangs you dig up.
Though these NPCs keep popping up out of nowhere at random, and repeat the same lines over and over every day like lunatics, you understand. The game is what it is, and the author can't add too much dialogue.
The town mayor, Mr. Bat, always comes out at night in a ragged cloak, like a ghost.
You get it, you get it.
Halloween is coming soon. This must be event promotion.
The little birds in town are colorful and flamboyant, and absolutely huge. Apparently, they're called Shorts Robin Birds.
You get it, you get it.
All the animals in Arkham are huge. The fish you caught yesterday was even called the Shark King.
The town carpenter, Miss Poison Ivy, is a mutant, humanoid corpse flower. It makes you wonder if the author even got the rights to use her.
But she can build you a little cabin overnight, so you respect her deeply.
You think Arkham Town is amazing!
Coo-coo. Coo-coo.
At night, an owl statue drops onto your farm.
You spend the whole night staring at the humanoid owl statue, then decide to place this statue, called Owlman, at the entrance to Arkham Town.
All right, now you need to go fishing for crocodiles in the sewers, buy seeds at the Iceberg Supermarket, and then head to Wayne Tower to find the wizard! And that place called the Batcave... It must be the mine on the new map. You grab your pickaxe and head off to dig!
Meanwhile...
Arkham's criminals: This is definitely the sickest patient in Arkham Asylum! Bat! Come do something about him!
Batman: (disapproving stare)
P.S. I opened my Stardew Valley save and found that my farm was called Arkham Farm, so I decided to start collecting advance readers!
