One Degree Below Zero

(This story needs time to mature.)

At eighteen, Bai Zhi stepped on a manhole cover and blinked into an ABO alternate world.

As soon as he arrived, he somehow ended up marrying an alpha man. He resisted the idea and gritted his teeth, deciding to treat the man as his younger brother.

Just as life in this other world began to settle down, his little brother died in a car accident. Before grief could hit, the brother's ghost appeared, and Bai Zhi could touch him.

Only then did Bai Zhi learn that this alternate world was actually a melodramatic novel, and that his little brother was the villain who became a ghost, harmed the protagonist, and committed every kind of evil, from murder to arson.

But Bai Zhi had already lived with his little brother for two months. In his eyes, the boy was sensitive and introverted, and a little insecure. There was no way he seemed like someone who would hurt people.

To stop the events of the novel from happening, Bai Zhi decided to reform his little brother.

Unexpectedly, even before he did anything, the plot had already gone off the rails, and nothing was happening the way the novel described.

Bai Zhi was completely baffled. Somehow, he became friends with the novel's protagonists, and his little brother bit him a couple of times while in heat.

Still, he kept moving forward step by step, trying to clear his little brother's name and get the wildly inaccurate plot back on track.

Then one day, his little brother locked him in a dim room and stared at him like a madman with those beautiful eyes he loved.

He even said he wouldn't let the protagonist get close to Bai Zhi anymore, and asked why Bai Zhi liked someone else.

Bai Zhi realized he was beyond saving. He actually thought his little brother looked adorable when he questioned him with a cold expression.
