A Guide to Mermaid Care

["Adorable" merfolk top x an insanely powerful but unmotivated bottom]

Nan Fei, a little merfolk beaten nearly to death and left homeless, knocked on the door of the guesthouse where Qiao Mu was staying when he was on the brink of death.

All Nan Fei wanted was to live happily with his caretaker, Qiao Mu, on this continent. Who could have guessed some thief would come to steal him?

Qiao Mu usually paid him no mind and was only a low-ranking raider who couldn't even beat a nuclear beast. Yet now, to save him, Qiao Mu had gone and destroyed the villains' hideout.

His caretaker seemed really powerful.

A filthy, ugly black-tailed merfolk had appeared in the Fallen Forest. Nobody wanted to take him in as a pet.

Rumor had it some sucker had rescued the ugly merfolk and was selling nuclear beast cores all over the place for his sake. Everyone knew that without seawater, this merfolk's old and new injuries couldn't be properly healed.

All the seawater was under the jurisdiction of the Holy Land. A single bottle cost a fortune, more than you could earn by hunting nuclear beasts for your entire life.

What was that? The Holy Land was flattened by the ugly merfolk's caretaker?!

The onlookers arrived to see Qiao Mu, eyes blazing with bloodlust, and a beautiful merfolk with a pale golden tail cheering him on.

??? A pale golden tail? Wasn't that the color of the Lord of the Ocean?

Wait!! Why was this merfolk baring his white teeth and pointing at them?

Nan Fei spread the tiny white feathered wings on his back, flapped them twice, and gave Qiao Mu a pitiful look. "They're the ones who beat me with a big stick!"

Before the crowd could figure out how a merfolk could have bird wings, Qiao Mu sent them flying. As they sailed through the air, Nan Fei filed his long nails and snapped the necks of those who fell within reach.

The crowd: "Help! Look at him! He's not some poor, helpless merfolk!"

Qiao Mu shrugged. "Great. I don't have to do anything."

The crowd: Who started the rumor that merfolk were all delicate and spoiled? :(
