The Hunter's Young Widower

Lan Qiao was born into a poor family and sold off to bring good luck to a sickly groom. Her young husband still died, leaving only her and her father-in-law.

Her father-in-law often went up the mountain to hunt, leaving her to manage the household alone.

One day, she had a delirious dream. In it, she and her father-in-law...

Qin Xunsheng had been poor as a young man. His awful father forced him to marry a widowed man with a child, and he didn't like the groom who had married into the family to bring good luck, either.

Then one day, as he happened to pass by, he heard the young widower in the room softly calling his name, making helpless sounds.

Thinking something had happened, he accidentally saw the man lift the hem of his shirt and quietly call out his name.

His scalp prickled, and blood surged through his whole body.

Qin Xunsheng's father loved drinking and gambling. He was a lecher, and when the young husband entered the family, he eyed him with a shifty look.

Seeing how helpless and pitiful the young husband was, Qin Xunsheng took him deep into the mountains.

The mountains were quiet, and the two men were alone.

Late at night, Lan Qiao often saw Qin Xunsheng dousing himself with water. His clothes would cling to him, revealing his strong physique.

She knew she shouldn't stare, but she couldn't make herself look away.

Hearing a noise behind him, Qin Xunsheng turned his head. His gaze, secretly hidden in the darkness, made the fire in her heart burn even hotter.

A rugged gong in his mid-twenties, and a fresh-faced shou in his mid-teens. The author rarely goes for such a big age gap with an older gong.

I don't really like rugged guys. They seem kind of smelly, so my rugged guy might not be all that rugged.

The editors won't let me use this blurb to promote the story, so I'll revise it when I write.
