Silkpunk, xuanhuan, brain-computer interfaces, ancient martial arts clans, neural networks, travel to another world, the Fourth Disaster
In this peaceful era of advanced technology, ancient martial arts were in decline. Long Qilan had thought her family's martial arts school would die out in her generation.
Who could have guessed that the launch of a silkpunk game called Treasures of the World would bring a magnificent, fantastical world before everyone's eyes?
Flying paper carriages, living silk fish, peach-blossom utopias, enchanted spirit artifacts, Black Tortoise bazaars, underground ruins...
Wait, why are there no guns in this game, only melee weapons? How are we supposed to play this?
You get killed by an NPC as soon as you open your eyes, the beginner village is full of max-level monsters, and dying deletes your account. Please, someone give me a survival guide!
No guidance, no tutorial, no main quests. What kind of terrible game is this?
Overnight, the view count on the Long Family Troupe's martial arts tutorial videos soared to unprecedented heights.
Someone offered Long Qilan a fortune to make an appearance, just to get her to enter the game and claim the Dragon Lanterns.
Legend has it that eighty-one Dragon Lanterns descended from the heavens, granting mortals supreme power before scattering across the four seas and eight wildernesses.
Players treated the lanterns as dungeon rewards and scrambled to claim them. Whichever guild got the most would become the greatest guild under heaven.
The NPCs were sweating buckets. One day, a group of people appeared from nowhere and inexplicably charged at them. They ignored all reason and rules, forcibly snatching every Dragon Lantern from their hands.
What could they do? Fight back, of course. They couldn't let these mysterious outsiders take their treasures.
They turned and knelt before Long Qilan. "My lady, we beg you to come out of seclusion and slay these shameless invaders from another world!"
Long Qilan nervously pointed at herself. "Me?"
Could it be that she was on the other side, too?
Note:
The first world is a cyberpunk future, centered on school competition leagues.
The second world is an alternate-history silkpunk past, centered on exploring a vast world, clearing dungeons, and solving mysteries.
A three-person romance, no choosing sides. The order only indicates when they appear. The endgame pairing is set, but I won't tell you who it is.
