Hawk and Hound

The Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Princes all treat me like a dog.

A dog? What an ugly thing to call me.

I'm a hawk-dog, thank you very much.

I eat at the imperial court's expense.

And I have a government job.

Hui Lan never wanted to be a dog, but the Seventh Prince really is a dog.

So, if that's how it is, bring it on!

Hui Lan: Incredibly powerful, but far too laid-back. She wants a raise and to retire at home. Schemes, plots, open rivalries, secret power struggles: if she can't figure out who's pulling the strings, she'll just punch everyone a few times and solve things with brute force.

Xie Xiuran: Warm on the outside, cold within. He seems like an innocent, romantic, warmhearted model young man, but in truth he's a devious, wicked, gloomy menace. He seems like a dog, and he really is a dog.

A lighthearted daily-life comedy set in an alternate ancient China. The protagonist is transported there from the modern world.

[I'll start writing immediately once this gets over 150 favorites.]
